D'oh!

Dear Padma, Ted, and Tom Tony,

I love your show, but you sent the wrong chef packing last night. Lisa's gotta go.

Yours truly,

I dunno, Loren -- Trina and I were hoping they'd do a surprise double elimination last night. Dale and Lisa were both pretty awful.

Yeah, Karen and I were going back and forth as to who would be sent packing. I think that Dale went down because he was the executive chef and had to take responsibility, but Lisa still should have gone home.

Absolutely, that horrible Lisa should have gotten the boot. I was frustrated when they came back with a Dale-pack-your-knives-move. Dale should've known what a laksa was before putting it on his menu. He didn't like the smoke flavor and still just let Lisa run with it. Bad move.

Ohmigosh I absolutely agree!! Lisa should have been booted episodes ago. Dale is so much more talented. Yes he's not a very nice person but a chef should be judged by his talent and not his TV persona.

Dale definitely seems to be the better chef, couldn't agree more!

I agree with you guys, Dale was quite a jerk, but seemed to have the culinary chops.

OK, there's no question that Dale was a better cook than Lisa (her cooking was consistently poor-to-mediocre), and I was surprised that the judges booted him over Lisa.

Yet, he was not nearly as good as he thought he was. In fact, I think Lisa and Dale were surprisingly similar, except Lisa never had the periodic flashes of great cooking that Dale had.

In the end, his negatives were too pronounced: hit-or-miss cooking, a poor team player, and an absolutely terrible executive chef. And, "butterscotch scallops?" I mean, come on.

P.S. I reiterate my belief that both of them, and Spike as well, deserved to be eliminated in the Restaurant Wars challenge. Epic fail. 2003 Detroit Tigers. You get the idea.

Brento: Yeah, the 2003 Tigers were pretty bad. They had to be in order to finish 47 games behind the Twins...
